I, Dave Heineman, Governor of the State of Nebraska, DO HEREBY PROCLAIM the 24th day of July, 2010, as NATIONAL DAY OF THE COWBOY in Nebraska, and I do hereby urge all citizens to take due note of the observance.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand, and cause the Great Seal of the State of Nebraska to be affixed this Twentieth day of January, in the year of our Lord Two Thousand Ten.

The Gambler Half Marathon will start and end at Harrah’s Casino. After the awards for the 5K, around 10:00 a.m. the cowboys will hold a card game leading into a shoot out.
